What is a PHEV.
The Escape Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) uses two sources of power to get you where you need to go, efficiently. The Escape PHEV can travel up to 56km on battery power alone2. For longer journeys, power split technology recharges the hybrid battery as you drive.

FordPass Connect
The Escape is fitted with an embedded modem. Using the FordPass app on your mobile device4, you can lock, unlock or even locate your vehicle5. FordPass lets you start the engine from afar, and heat or cool the cabin to the last setting6.

The Ford Escape comes with five selectable drive modes to suit varying conditions – normal, eco, sport, slippery deep snow/sand and trail. Plus, it’s available in both FWD and AWD drive train options.
FWD or AWD.
The FWD (Front Wheel Drive) system sends power and weight directly to the front wheels, helping to retain traction on slippery roads. The AWD (All‑Wheel Drive) system intelligently determines how much grip, balance and responsiveness is needed to suit varying conditions and terrain.
ST-line extras
The optional ST‑Line Pack comes with Power Tailgate with Smart Keyless Entry, Front Heated Seats, LED Glare Free Headlamps and Heads Up Display, for your convenience.
Towing capacity
A small SUV that’s big in utility. Extra power and ability there for when you need it, whether you’re moving houses or travelling with a boat. The Escape 2. 0L Petrol AWD can tow up to 1800kg3.
Power liftgate1
No more rummaging for your keys, the power liftgate makes access to your Escape1 load compartment easy. With your key nearby, simply open the boot with the press of a button.

The advanced 10‑speaker, 575‑watt set‑up has been specifically developed and fine‑tuned for your Escape ST‑Line Plug‑In Hybrid & Escape Vignale by specialist B&O sound engineers. A powerful set up across the entire range lets you hear music as it’s meant to be heard.
