Innovative Technology

When your truck doubles as your office, a smart design makes all the difference. Packed with technology Ranger now comes standard across the range with AEB with Pedestrian Detection, Lane-Keep Assist, Auto High Beam & Traffic Sign Recognition.

Technology Features 1

Pre Collision Assist with Pedestrian DetectionF1

When traffic is crawling along, it can be easy to miss someone suddenly stopping up front. In speeds over 3.6km/h, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection* is designed to detect if the car in front has unexpectedly stopped or a pedestrian steps out onto the road and can automatically apply the brakes if you don't. Now standard across the range.

Technology Features 1

Adaptive Cruise ControlF2

Forget having to turn your cruise control on and off as traffic conditions change. If traffic slows in front of you, Adaptive Cruise Control can automatically slow to maintain a pre-set distance. Once traffic clears, it returns to your cruising speed.

Technology Features 1

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure WarningF2

By monitoring road markings, every Ford Ranger can now detect if you appear to unintentionally move out of your lane. If you do, your steering wheel will vibrate to warn you. If lane departure continues it will also direct you back into your lane by applying steering torque, unless your indicator is on.

Technology Features 1

Auto High BeamF2

Driving through the country can be a stressful task, especially at night. Ranger’s Auto High Beam feature lends a helping hand by automatically turning the high beams on and off depending on light level and surrounding vehicles.

Technology 2

Traffic Sign RecognitionF2

Ford Ranger is now standard with Traffic Sign Recognition, designed to enhance your speed control to enable you to concentrate on the road. The forward-facing camera automatically detects the current speed limit (when activated), then displays this on the instrument cluster. It can then provide an audible and visual warning if you exceed the detected speed limit.

Technology 2

Semi-Auto Active Park AssistF2

Not everyone loves to parallel park. But what if we designed a truck that not only helps you find the right size parking space, but also automatically steers itself in for a perfect park? Ford Ranger is the first in the Pick-up segment to offer Semi-Auto Active Park Assist to make city driving even easier.

Technology 2

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

When your tyre pressure isn’t right it can compromise safety and fuel economy. The Tyre Pressure Monitor constantly monitors each tyre’s pressure and lets you know which ones need air, and when. Easy.

Technology 2

Reverse Camera and Parking SensorsF2

Bollards, bicycles, low walls… The rear-view camera shows what’s behind you on a screen built into the centre console. As well as revealing objects you might miss, the system displays virtual lines to help you park into the smallest of spaces. The camera activates automatically when you select reverse gear.
